“Two great events on the programme of the Versailles Festival: a giant Masked Ball in the Orangerie designed by Kamel Ouali on 14 June 2013 and the Grand Royal Carrousel of Versailles, an equestrian and pyrotechnical display on the Queen’s Plain on 4, 5, 6 and 7 July 2013.
The Orangerie, that emblematic and sublime setting in which the music of the royal festivities of the 17th Century still resounds, will be opening its doors once again to the happy few to become for one night the most fantastic ballroom ever. Accompanied by 50 artists, Kamel Ouali will create a place of splendour and wonder where genres and periods overlap.
Costumed and masked, the guests will encounter surprising figures and, enthused by the choreographic pieces of Kamel Ouali, will dance through the night to the sound of the best DJs. They will banter in cosy lounges and set off at dawn for the Ballroom Grove, the finest in the Royal Garden, for a last dance and breakfast.”
